Terms of Service

Effective: 1 January 2026 · Last updated: 1 January 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LifeLink AI mobile application, web portal and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by LifeLink AI (Pvt) Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Zimbabwe.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

The Platform is available to:

  • Patients aged 16 or older, or minors with a parent/guardian managing their account.
  • Healthcare providers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, counsellors, veterinary professionals, agricultural advisors, and other licensed practitioners) who have been verified by our team.
  • Healthcare organisations (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories) that have completed the onboarding process.

By registering, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
  • You may not share your account with another person or create multiple accounts.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

4. Platform Description

LifeLink AI provides the following core services:

  • Provider marketplace: searchable directory of verified healthcare providers with profiles, ratings and appointment booking.
  • Appointment management: scheduling, rescheduling and cancellation of in-clinic, teleconsultation and home-visit appointments.
  • Emergency SOS: one-tap emergency alert that shares your location with nearest responders and emergency contacts.
  • Secure messaging: in-app communication between patients and providers.
  • Medical tourism: cross-border treatment packages, second opinions and coordinated travel.
  • Confidential counselling: stigma-free substance-use assessments and care plans with trained specialists.
  • Animal health: veterinary provider directory, appointment booking, and species-based search for companion, livestock, equine, poultry, aquatic and wildlife providers.
  • Agricultural advisory: directory of agricultural advisors with consultation-type filters (crop health, soil testing, irrigation, agribusiness, and more).
  • Medical records: secure storage for prescriptions, lab results, and consultation history.

5. Provider Obligations

If you are a healthcare provider on the Platform, you agree to:

  • Hold a valid, current professional licence or registration with the relevant regulatory body in your jurisdiction.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date credentials, qualifications and professional information.
  • Maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by your regulatory body.
  • Comply with all applicable healthcare regulations, clinical standards and ethical codes in your jurisdiction.
  • Respond to appointment requests in a timely manner and honour confirmed bookings.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with professional duty and applicable law.
  • Report any adverse events, complaints or safety concerns through the Platform's incident reporting system.
  • Understand that your verified status, ratings and reviews are displayed publicly to help patients make informed choices.

6. Patient Responsibilities

If you are a patient on the Platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate health information relevant to your consultations.
  • Treat providers with respect and refrain from abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour.
  • Attend confirmed appointments or cancel with reasonable notice (at least 24 hours).
  • Understand that the Platform facilitates connections but does not guarantee specific health outcomes.
  • Keep your emergency contact information up to date.
  • Use the Emergency SOS feature only for genuine emergencies.

7. Fees and Payments

  • Consultation fees are set by individual providers and displayed on their profiles before booking.
  • Payments are processed through our secure payment partners. We do not store your full card details.
  • Cancellation policies are set by individual providers. Refunds are handled in accordance with the provider's stated policy.
  • LifeLink AI charges a platform service fee as disclosed during the booking process. This fee is non-refundable except in cases of platform error.
  • All fees are displayed in the applicable local currency. Currency conversion fees may apply for cross-border transactions.

8. Medical Disclaimer

LifeLink AI is a technology platform that connects patients with healthcare providers. We are not a healthcare provider and do not:

  • Provide medical, veterinary, agricultural, or mental health advice, diagnosis or treatment.
  • Employ or directly supervise the providers listed on the Platform.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of provider credentials, qualifications or ratings.
  • Assume responsibility for the quality, safety or outcomes of any healthcare service.

All healthcare services are provided independently by the listed providers, who are solely responsible for their professional conduct and clinical decisions. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number (e.g., 999 in Zimbabwe) in addition to using the Platform's SOS feature.

9. Veterinary and Agricultural Disclaimer

Providers in the Animal Health and Agricultural Advisory categories are independent professionals. LifeLink AI:

  • Does not provide veterinary treatment, animal health advice or agricultural consulting.
  • Does not guarantee the outcome of any veterinary, livestock or agricultural service.
  • Is not responsible for animal health, crop yield or farm business outcomes.
  • Encourages animal owners and farmers to verify provider credentials and seek second opinions where appropriate.

10. Counselling Confidentiality

Substance-use counselling conducted through the Platform is subject to the highest confidentiality standards:

  • Session content is accessible only to the counsellor and the patient.
  • Platform administrators cannot view counselling session content.
  • Records will not be shared with third parties without explicit written patient consent, except where required by court order.
  • Patients may request deletion of counselling records at any time.

11. Emergency Services

The Emergency SOS feature is a supplement to, not a replacement for, local emergency services. By using SOS:

  • You authorise us to share your GPS location with the nearest available responder and your designated emergency contacts.
  • You understand that response times are not guaranteed and depend on provider availability and location.
  • You should always contact local emergency services directly for life-threatening situations.

12. Intellectual Property

  • The Platform, including its design, code, logos, trademarks and content, is owned by LifeLink AI (Pvt) Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from any part of the Platform.
  • User-generated content (reviews, messages, profile information) remains your intellectual property, but you grant us a licence to display and process it for Platform operations.

13. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of healthcare regulations.
  • Impersonate another person, provider or organisation.
  • Upload malware, spam or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Circumvent security measures, access controls or rate limits.
  • Scrape, crawl or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform.
  • Harass, threaten or discriminate against other users.
  • Sell, transfer or share your account with others.
  • Post false, misleading or defamatory reviews.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • LifeLink AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
  • We are not liable for the acts, omissions or negligence of healthcare providers, emergency responders or other users.
  • We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LifeLink AI, its directors, employees and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
  • Any content you submit or share through the Platform.

16. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the app settings, through the Delete Account & Data page, or by contacting support at privacy@lifelink.ai.
  • You may also delete selected data while keeping your account, using the same Delete Account & Data page.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We will retain data as required by law and our Privacy Policy, and as set out in the retention table on the Delete Account & Data page.
  • Sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law survive termination.

17. Dispute Resolution

  • Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
  • If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to mediation administered by the Zimbabwe Centre for Dispute Resolution.
  • If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Harare, Zimbabwe, under the Arbitration Act [Chapter 9:09].
  • Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where applicable, the laws of South Africa (POPIA), Nigeria (NDPR), Kenya (Data Protection Act) and other operating jurisdictions shall also apply to users in those jurisdictions.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LifeLink AI regarding use of the Platform, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
